About Us
How often do you see cross-dressers perceived as normal at a pub or a restaurant? You would normally see cross-dressers performing on stage for entertainment like drag queens. Marc Weins, the owner of Cross Town Pub Grill wanted to change this stigma and has a vision of making cross-dressing more acceptable.
When Marc opened his pub, he initially hired 5 kitchen crew and 3 dining crew. Most of them are cross-dressers but were not allowed to dress how they wanted at their previous work. However, for Marc, for his business to succeed, he needs employees who are comfortable and feel great about themselves. That is why after several weeks from their start date, he immediately released a memo that they can dress however they want, so long as it’s appropriate and does not pose any health threats to their customers
He wanted everyone who owns a business to know that if you take care of your employees and let them feel comfortable in their workplace, they will take care of your business. Marc lists down all the things that he has learned in running a business that allows employees to dress what they want. He also shares his day-to-day experiences in managing his employees, including how he treats them with rewards and recognition every quarter.
